Dr. Diane Spada
Doctor of Optometry
A native of Cleveland, OH, Dr. Diane Spada graduated from Marietta College with a Bachelors of Science in Biology. She then received her Doctor of Optometry degree from The Ohio State University College of Optometry (“GO BUCKS!”) in 2003. Shortly after meeting her husband during optometry school, she made the move to “Beautiful British Columbia “. Currently, she enjoys providing comprehensive eye care to families at the Optimum Eye Clinic in South Surrey, BC. Being a proud mother of three children, she enjoys seeing families and children at all ages. Outside the clinic, Diane enjoys biking, running, scuba, and skiing.
Dr. Dharminder Dhanda
Dr. Dharminder Dhanda was born in India and raised in British Columbia. He completed his undergraduate degree from the University of British Columbia and then went on to earn his medical degree from the University of Western Ontario. He completed his Ophthalmology fellowship at the University of Toronto before returning to the lower mainland of BC to practice. He lives in Vancouver with his wife and two daughters. He loves to ski, Rollerblade, and travel as often as he can.
CEO of VisionPros
Frank was born and raised in British Columbia where he has enjoyed establishing a successful business career. He attended BCIT and Simon Fraser University and obtained a Bachelor and Masters degree in Business Administration. Frank is currently the CEO of VisonPros and lives happily in the lower mainland of BC with his wife and four children. Frank is an avid curler, golfer, kayaker, and enjoys crabbing.
Dr. Jessy Manhas
Doctor of Optometry
Dr.Jessy Manhas was raised in Port Alberni, British Columbia. He moved to Vancouver and received his Bachelors of Science in Biochemistry from Simon Fraser University. He went on to receive his Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Waterloo. Jessy has been practicing optometry in the lower mainland of BC since 2003. He is happily married with two daughters and one son. In his free time he enjoys golf, tennis, hockey, and traveling the world.
Dr. Jason Lau
Doctor of Optometry
Dr.Jason Lau completed a Specialized Microbiology degree from the University of Alberta and went on to receive his Doctor of Optometry at the State University of New York in New York City. He has completed internships and residencies at various ocular disease centers and these experiences have allowed him to bolster a genuine interest in the management of glaucoma and other oculo-systemic disorders. He currently resides in Vancouver with his wife and two daughters. He enjoys hockey, music, and spending quality time with his family.
Hannah was born in Michigan and raised in Florida where she obtained a BSc. in Event Management from the University of Central Florida. She has grown her career in marketing in the United States and has executed dozens of events around the world. Hannah is currently the Marketing and Events Manager at VisionPros and works as the Project Manager for Eyes for the World. She lives in the lower mainland of BC with her husband and enjoys hiking, photography, and clean cooking.
Don who is originally from Jamaica is a successful businessman in British Columbia and works with Eyes for the World to liaise with the local Jamaican community to plan and execute the eye health missions.
Honorary Consul General for BC in Ghana
George grew up in Ghana and immigrated to Canada in 1977 where he completed his MBA at the University of British Columbia and became a Certified General Accountant. He established a successful company and earned a title as Honorary Consul General to BC for Ghana. George established Foundation for African Children’s Education (FACE), a not for profit providing children the tools they need to learn. He works with Eyes for the World to liaise with the local Ghanaian community and set up the eye health missions.
